Story of the Tramway in Lisbon design

Hand embroider the Tramway in Lisbon as a memorable artwork from the Portuguese capital. Perhaps you've visited the city, or dream to go? Modern hand embroidery is the perfect creative project to bring on your travel.

It is inspired by the incredibly charming trams that run all through the city of Lisbon. This particular tram only goes up and down the steep road called "Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo". The road is full of charming bars and restaurant, hence we definitely recommend you to have a look around!

The Lisbon tram pattern is our first design that was inspired by a moving object. So far, our embroidery designs are largely inspired by street scenes or architecture. Therefore, it was very fun challenge to capture the perspective and movement of the yellow tram. You can see the final embroidered version in front of the moving tram on the second product picture.

It's a pure joy to be able to come back to the original inspiration point for a reference picture. It's as if the creative process goes full circle when you're able to reconnect the design with its location.
